How to come to Canada?

1. Vehicle:
We ship our vehicle with "Seabridge" to Halifax. It is a "RoRo - ship" (roll-on / roll-off) and it leaves Hamburg on 11.3. Arrival in Halifax approx. 31.3.
We will fly from Stuttgart via London and will visit our daughter in London.
2. Visa:
For Canada we (Germans) do not need a visa. The mx stay is 6 months. For USA we have a six months Visa.
The first year we stay on the eastern side of Canada and the Southern side of USA. than we try to obtain another permission to stay 1/2 year in Canada and 1/2 year in USA. To see the Western side up to Alaska.
Some impressions from the trip Esslingen to Hamburg through Germany
Driving from Esslingen to Hamburg we passed through Bad Sooden-Allendorf (South of Göttingen).
It has one of the most interesting historic center with beautiful "half timbered houses".
Here some impressions:
Lüneburg:
Few days we spent in this old "Hanse" town (50 km south-east of Hamburg). The old city is worth seeing: brick houses in gotic style and charming cafes and restaurants. Furthermore a nice thermal bath.
Lüneburg was between the 15th and 17th century one of the richest towns in northern Germany - thanks to salt production. In those times it became part of the famous "Hanse" federation.
Snow:
Today morning we were surprised to see everything covered with 10-15 cm snow.
We do not need this anymore this year.

Today we handed over our vehicle in Hamburg to the shipping agency. We felt somehow lost to hand over the key´s to strangers. Hopefully the ship arrives safely and everything is still at his place.
We are looking forward to fly to Halifax in two weeks time and to start the long awaited trip.
