Tour through New Mexico from Jan 29. to Febr. 2. 2011:

From the border of Arizona we took I-10 to Lordsburg and than Hwy 90 to Silver City. From here we wanted to see "Gila river Canyon" and "Gila Cliff Dwelling NM". Unfortunately Rudi catched a cold and we decided to stay in Silver City. After 4 days Rita took over the cold and we had to stay on.

On Jan. 31. it started snowing, and on Feb. 1. we had at night -12°C and daytime - 8°C. And the night to Feb. 2. we had -20°C. We woke up because the noise of the Diesel heating was gone and it was quite cold insight the camper. All the trials to restart the heater didn´t work and at 5:00am we decided to push off. Also our Volvo had immense difficulties to start but finally it worked. And we drove through snow hundreds of miles to the border of Texas.

We will come back to NM during March / April this year.
